Be a Finisher in Network Marketing
How good does it feel to tick things off in your to do list?
Have you ever walked around just thinking about something you need to do and it’s consuming all your thoughts, but you just don't get started on it?
Today’s topic is going to be more about being a finisher in your network marketing journey. What I mean by that is how can you keep going long enough to achieve some of the goals you set out to accomplish at the beginning. After 13 years, I have accomplished tons of goals but I still I have not finished as I have new goals and more people to help to achieve success.
The majority of people who sign up in our business will never do anything. All they will do is maybe sign up and get a login but they will never even buy a product or talk to anyone about the business. The next largest group of people are the ones who start and do talk to around three people and all of them say no so they end up quitting as well.
The big challenge with having a low barrier of entry is that it is also way too easy to quit. If people had invested all of their life savings, then they would put more back in to get it back. That effort will probably lead them to success. A few mentors told me to act like I had invested £100,000 into my network marketing business. Then I would be that much more serious.
After 2.5 years of doing this I fell back down to distributor and had a choice to keep going or quit. Never, ever, in my life had I been so bad at something for so long. However, I would regret it forever if I was a quitter. I needed to make this work.
How could I learn and how could I take the necessary action to succeed?
My family was practically saying I sucked at this it was time to get back into the corporate world where I thrived. Inside I knew they were right but I also knew that with grit you can become great at anything. I cannot even think what my life would be like if I would have quit this. I would have done well in the corporate world but I do not think I ever would have been truly happy, especially knowing my brother would smash this and live a life of time freedom.
Over ten years after that really dark moment I look back with pride. I had been looking in the mirror saying I had accomplished nothing in 2.5 years of hard work. However, I had actually found someone who would later on lead me to the team that has exploded all over the world. At that time though I had no idea she was my ticket to a life full of health, money and time with my family.
Keep talking to people and you never know who will lead you to what. The person who might not be a finisher themselves can often lead you to one. So give everyone a chance!

Seven things that can help you be a better finisher.
Be aware of your patterns. When do you tend to lose interest and quit a project?
Be realistic and do what you can do instead of having crazy absurd expectations that you can never reach and just discourage you.
Make a timeline of when you will accomplish things. Remember you will often do more in 5 years than what you think you can and less in 1 year than what you think you will do.
Have intrinsic motivation. Work on your motivation daily and make sure it is not just for some fancy thing that money can buy as that is often very short term.
Have an accountability partner to report to daily. A few is even better.
Have a dream board you can see daily.
Read your definite purpose statement daily.
